Annura AI: Terms of Service

Welcome to Annura AI (referred to as "Annura", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Annura AI mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. By creating an account, onboarding, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
  • Account Security: To use Annura AI, you may be required to register an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information during onboarding and to keep your credentials confidential. You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your account.

2. Description of the Service

Annura AI is a health, diet, and nutrition application designed to help users track nutritional goals, log meals, sync fitness metrics, and receive personalized nutritional advice.

  • AI Nutrition Assistant: Annura AI integrates advanced generative AI models to process user parameters and generate dietary insights.
  • Google Health Connect: The Service integrates with Google Health Connect to read and write activity and health data (such as Steps, Weight, Calories, Sleep, and Workouts) to optimize tracking and recommendations.

3. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER (CRITICAL)

[!IMPORTANT] ANNURA AI IS NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.

  • No Professional Advice: The Service including all insights, meal plans, nutritional estimates, and responses generated by the AI assistant is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or management of any health condition.
  • Consult Your Doctor: You should always consult with a qualified healthcare professional (such as a physician or registered dietitian) before starting a new diet program, making significant dietary changes, or interpreting health and fitness metrics.
  • Allergen and Food Safety Warning: Artificial Intelligence models can hallucinate or produce incorrect information. You are solely responsible for verifying allergen information, ingredients, and nutritional content before consuming any food item recommended by or logged in the Service.
  • Emergency Situations: Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or received through the Service. In case of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

4. Pricing & Service Availability

  • Free / Beta Access: Annura AI is currently provided free of charge during its current release and beta phase. We do not currently charge recurring subscription fees, paid memberships, or in-app purchases.
  • Future Feature Changes: We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features, paid tiers, or subscriptions in future updates. Should paid features be introduced, clear pricing details will be displayed and your explicit authorization will be required prior to any charges.

5. Integration with Google Health Connect

By enabling Google Health Connect permissions:

  • You grant Annura AI permission to access and sync specific metrics (Calories, Weight, Steps, Sleep, Workouts) with your on-device Health Connect database.
  • Our use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Google Play Health Connect Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • You can disable Health Connect sync at any time in your device settings or via the Annura AI app settings.

6. AI-Generated Content Declaration & Disclaimers

  • Generative AI Disclosure: The Service utilizes generative artificial intelligence models to process user queries, estimate macro and micro-nutrients from food photographs, and generate personalized dietary suggestions. All AI-generated outputs are clearly identified as machine-generated content.
  • AI Hallucinations & Accuracy: Generative AI models can hallucinate or produce inaccurate estimates regarding ingredient breakdown, portion size, calories, or allergens. AI-generated outputs are provided strictly on an "as is" basis for educational reference and should never replace personal verification or clinical judgement.
  • In-App Content Reporting & Safety Flagging: In compliance with store developer policies, Annura AI provides built-in reporting and safety flagging mechanisms across all AI touchpoints. Users can flag objectionable, inappropriate, or inaccurate AI content directly within the application for review.
  • Guardrails & Prohibited Misuse: Users are strictly prohibited from attempting to jailbreak, bypass safety guardrails, or submit prompt injections designed to induce the AI model to output harmful, illegal, or deceptive content.

7. Data Ownership and Deletion Rights

  • Your Data: You retain ownership of the data you input into the Service.
  • Right to Deletion (GDPR/CCPA Compliance): You have the right to delete your user account and all associated personal data at any time. You can initiate data deletion directly in the app settings (Settings > Account > Delete Account) or via our public web portal at https://app.ay7.me/delete-account.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or reverse-engineer the Service's security measures or data processing flows.
  • Input false, misleading, or harmful information (e.g., attempting to jailbreak the AI model or inject malicious commands).
  • Sell, license, or commercially exploit any part of the Service or its data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

  • "As-Is" Service: The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Annura AI, its developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated nutrition advice or synced health data.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding user-generated content and third-party AI APIs), including the application code, design, logos, and branding, are and will remain the exclusive property of Annura AI and its licensors.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the principal developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
